OVERVIEW

THRIVE Cycling (operated by LK Technologies ACN 667084899) stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of all THRIVE products. This warranty provides coverage for manufacturing defects and malfunctions, ensuring your investment is protected.

This warranty applies to all THRIVE products including:

  • HELIOS Smart Ring
  • Cliq Smart Front Light
  • Farina Smart Rear Light
  • THRIVE accessories and components

SECTION 1 - STANDARD 2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

1.1 Warranty Coverage

Every THRIVE product includes a 2-year limited warranty from the date of delivery that covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Malfunctions occurring during normal use of the product
  • Hardware failures not caused by user damage or misuse
  • Defective accessories included with your product (charging cables, mounts, etc.)
  • Software-related issues that prevent normal functionality

1.2 Warranty Period

  • Warranty begins on the date of delivery (as confirmed by tracking information)
  • Coverage extends for 24 months from delivery date
  • Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser

1.3 What Is NOT Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage including drops, impacts, crushing, or liquid damage beyond rated specifications
  • Normal wear and tear including minor scratches, scuffs, or cosmetic blemishes that don't affect functionality
  • Misuse or abuse including use outside specified operating conditions or unauthorized modifications
  • Unauthorized repairs performed by anyone other than THRIVE or authorized service providers
  • Battery degradation - normal reduction in battery capacity over time is expected and not covered
  • Lost or stolen products - see Section 2 for optional protection plans
  • Damage from extreme conditions including extreme temperatures, chemicals, or conditions outside product specifications
  • Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect the product's functionality
  • Software issues caused by user modifications, jailbreaking, or third-party apps
  • Damage during shipping for returns not following proper packaging instructions
  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers - warranty only valid for products purchased directly from THRIVE or authorized retailers

SECTION 2 - OPTIONAL EXTENDED PROTECTION PLANS

2.1 Available Protection Plans

THRIVE offers optional protection plans that extend coverage beyond the standard warranty:

1-Year Accidental Damage Protection

  • Covers accidental damage including drops, impacts, and liquid damage
  • Valid for 12 months from purchase date
  • One replacement claim allowed during coverage period
  • Available for purchase at checkout or within 30 days of delivery

2-Year Extended Protection Plan

  • All benefits of 1-Year plan extended to 24 months
  • Additional coverage for theft and loss (one claim per coverage period)
  • For HELIOS Smart Ring: Size insurance - free replacement if your ring size changes due to weight loss/gain
  • Two replacement claims allowed during coverage period (accidental damage, theft, or loss combined)
  • Priority customer support
  • Available for purchase at checkout or within 30 days of delivery

2.2 Protection Plan Terms

  • Protection plans are purchased separately and have their own terms and conditions
  • Claims must be filed within 30 days of the incident
  • Proof of damage, theft, or loss may be required (police report for theft, photos for damage)
  • Replacements are subject to product availability
  • Protection plans are non-refundable after 30 days of purchase
  • Deductibles may apply depending on claim type
  • Full protection plan terms provided at time of purchase

SECTION 3 - HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

3.1 Before Filing a Claim

Before submitting a warranty claim, please try these troubleshooting steps:

For HELIOS Smart Ring:

  1. Charging Issues: Try a different USB power source, ensure charging dock is clean and properly aligned
  2. Connectivity Issues: Restart your phone, reinstall the THRIVE app, ensure Bluetooth is enabled
  3. Syncing Issues: Force close and reopen the app, check for app updates
  4. Performance Issues: Restart the ring by placing it on the charger for 10 seconds

For Smart Lights (Cliq & Farina):

  1. Not turning on: Ensure fully charged, check power button functionality
  2. Connectivity Issues: Reset device, reinstall THRIVE app, check Bluetooth pairing
  3. Mounting Issues: Ensure mount is properly secured and compatible
  4. Brightness/Mode Issues: Check app settings, try manual mode cycling

3.2 Filing a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim:

  1. Contact Support: Email info@thrivecycling.io with:

    Your order number
    Date of purchase
    Product name and serial number (if applicable)
    Description of the issue
    Photos or videos demonstrating the defect (if applicable)
    Troubleshooting steps already attempted

  2. Claim Review: Our team will review your claim within 24-48 hours and may request additional information
  3. Approval & Instructions: If approved, you'll receive:

    Return authorization number
    Prepaid shipping label (for warranty claims only)
    Instructions for safely packaging your product

  4. Product Return: Ship your product back using provided instructions
  5. Resolution: Once received, we will (at our discretion):

    Repair your product and return it
    Replace your product with a new or refurbished unit
    Issue a full refund if repair/replacement is not feasible

3.3 Warranty Claim Timeline

  • Claim review: 24-48 hours
  • Shipping to THRIVE: 3-7 business days (varies by location)
  • Inspection & processing: 3-5 business days
  • Return shipping: 3-7 business days (varies by location)

Total estimated time: 10-21 business days from claim approval to resolution

SECTION 4 - WARRANTY REMEDIES

4.1 Repair

If your product can be repaired:

  • THRIVE will repair the defect at no cost to you
  • Original product will be returned to you
  • Repaired product maintains remaining warranty period
  • Repairs are completed by THRIVE-certified technicians

4.2 Replacement

If your product cannot be repaired or repair is not feasible:

  • THRIVE will provide a replacement product of equal or greater value
  • Replacement may be new or refurbished (refurbished units meet original specifications)
  • For products with multiple finish/color options: You may select a different option if available
  • Replacement product receives a new 90-day warranty or remainder of original warranty, whichever is longer
  • All accessories included with replacement

4.3 Refund

If repair or replacement is not possible:

  • Full refund of original purchase price
  • Refund processed to original payment method within 5-7 business days
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable (unless product was defective on arrival)
  • Optional protection plans may be refunded on a pro-rata basis

SECTION 5 - INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

5.1 Global Coverage

The THRIVE warranty is valid worldwide, regardless of where the product was purchased or where you currently reside.

5.2 International Claims

For customers outside Australia:

  • Same warranty terms apply
  • Return shipping may not be prepaid - contact support for instructions
  • Customs duties or import taxes for warranty returns are the customer's responsibility
  • Longer processing times may apply due to international shipping

SECTION 6 - PRODUCT-SPECIFIC SPECIFICATIONS

6.1 HELIOS Smart Ring - Water Resistance

Water Resistance Rating: 10 ATM (100 meters / 330 feet)

Suitable for:

  • Swimming in pools or open water
  • Showering
  • Cycling in rain or wet conditions
  • Water sports (surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding)

NOT suitable for:

  • Scuba diving or high-pressure water activities
  • Hot water exposure (hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms)

Maintenance:

  • Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorine
  • Avoid extreme temperature changes while wet
  • Do not expose to high-pressure water jets
  • Inspect ring regularly for cracks or damage

Note: Water resistance may diminish over time with normal use. This is considered normal wear and is not covered under warranty.

6.2 Smart Lights (Cliq & Farina) - Weather Resistance

Weather Resistance Rating: IPX6 (protected against powerful water jets)

Suitable for:

  • Cycling in heavy rain
  • All weather conditions
  • Road spray and wet conditions

NOT suitable for:

  • Submersion in water
  • High-pressure washing

Maintenance:

  • Wipe clean after muddy or wet rides
  • Check mounting hardware regularly
  • Store in dry conditions when not in use

SECTION 7 - BATTERY AND CHARGING

7.1 Battery Life Expectations

HELIOS Smart Ring:

  • New rings provide 7-10 days of battery life per charge
  • Full recharge in approximately 90 minutes

Smart Lights (Cliq & Farina):

  • Battery life varies by brightness setting and mode
  • Typical runtime: 2-20+ hours depending on mode
  • Full recharge time varies by model (refer to product documentation)

7.2 Battery Degradation

  • Battery degradation is a normal characteristic of lithium-ion batteries
  • Expected capacity after 2 years: approximately 80% of original capacity
  • Normal battery degradation is not covered under warranty
  • Abnormal battery failure (e.g., battery fails within first year) is covered

7.3 Charging Issues

If your product won't charge:

  1. Clean charging contacts on both device and charger
  2. Try a different USB power source (wall adapter recommended)
  3. Ensure product is properly seated on charging dock/cable
  4. Look for charging indicator (LED or in app)

If issues persist, contact support for warranty service.

SECTION 8 - SOFTWARE AND FIRMWARE

8.1 Software Updates

  • THRIVE regularly releases software and firmware updates
  • Updates are free and delivered through the THRIVE app
  • Keeping your products updated ensures optimal performance
  • Some issues may be resolved through software updates rather than hardware replacement

8.2 Software Support

  • Software support provided for minimum of 3 years from product release
  • Major features and improvements delivered via updates
  • Bug fixes and security patches provided as needed

8.3 Software-Related Issues

Software issues covered under warranty:

  • Firmware update failures
  • Persistent app connectivity problems (when app is up to date)
  • Data syncing failures not caused by user error

Not covered:

  • Issues caused by modified or unofficial apps
  • Problems due to outdated app versions
  • Connectivity issues due to phone compatibility or network problems

SECTION 9 - PROOF OF PURCHASE

9.1 Required Documentation

To make a warranty claim, you must provide:

  • Order number from purchase confirmation email
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
  • Date of delivery

9.2 Warranty Transfer

  • Warranty is non-transferable
  • Applies only to original purchaser listed on order
  • Resold or gifted products are not covered unless transferred through official THRIVE transfer process

9.3 Authorized Retailers

Warranty is only valid for products purchased from:

  • thrivecycling.io (official website)
  • Authorized THRIVE retailers (list available on website)

Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or third-party marketplaces may not be covered under this warranty.

SECTION 10 - LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

10.1 Exclusive Remedy

The remedies provided in this warranty (repair, replacement, or refund) are your exclusive remedies for any defect in THRIVE products.

10.2 Limitation of Damages

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • THRIVE's total liability is limited to the purchase price of the product
  • THRIVE is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • THRIVE is not liable for loss of data, loss of use, or lost profits
  • THRIVE is not liable for injuries or damages resulting from product use or misuse

10.3 Implied Warranties

Any implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for purpose) are limited to the duration of this express warranty (2 years).

10.4 Product Use Disclaimer

  • THRIVE products are designed for fitness and wellness tracking
  • HELIOS Smart Ring is not a medical device and should not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment
  • Always consult healthcare professionals for medical advice
  • THRIVE is not liable for decisions made based on data from devices

SECTION 11 - LEGAL RIGHTS

11.1 Consumer Protection Laws

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have additional rights under consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. Where local laws provide greater protection, those laws apply.

11.2 Australian Consumer Law

For Australian customers: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

SECTION 12 - WARRANTY FRAUD

12.1 False Claims

THRIVE reserves the right to:

  • Deny warranty claims that involve misrepresentation or fraud
  • Charge full replacement cost for fraudulent claims
  • Pursue legal action for warranty fraud

12.2 Verification

THRIVE may verify warranty claims through:

  • Product serial number verification
  • Inspection of returned products
  • Review of diagnostic data from devices

SECTION 13 - PRODUCT RECALLS AND SAFETY NOTICES

13.1 Safety Notifications

In the event of a product recall or safety notice:

  • THRIVE will notify affected customers via email
  • Instructions for product return or remedy will be provided
  • Recalls take precedence over standard warranty procedures
  • Full refunds or replacements provided for recalled products
